We are sincerely
grateful
to PETER R. STEELE who,
following an appeal on this
website for photos, sent me the following ones, with permission to
share
them with you.

LOOKING
EAST
This aerial shot is taken facing East, with the
Roman
Bank flats in
the foreground, the main camp centre, and the sea in the background.
From L-R the buildings are:
Regency, Empress, Queens, Ingoldmells
|
|
LOOKING
WEST
The plane is just above the Boating Lake, looking
west, with
the
Queen's Building top right, and the Ingoldmell's Hotel top left.
|
|
LOOKING SOUTH
In the foreground, and moving away we have:
Lincoln Dining Room, York Dining Room, Clock Building,
Sportsfield

Peter has had a
strong connection to Butlins
Skegness
since he first went on holiday there in 1973.
Peter's other love
is
flying. In 1977 when these
photos were taken, he was a fourteen year old passenger, but now he is,
himself, a
qualified pilot.
What a shame that
any
subsequent aerial shots
he takes will show a totally different landscape.
