Refereeing the snooker final.
I loved the tension these matches were played under.
It may look like I'm about to grab this girl, but we are actually dancing to the latest craze - The Twist.

LEFT: Me on clarinet as fellow-Red Ken Arnold is about to help me hit the high note. Ouch! Trixie is on the piano and Tommy, behind Ken, is playing banjo. Blinking Owl Bar.

ABOVE: Marty and me rehearsing a little sketch we played in front of the campers while they were queueing for the dining hall.

Jimmy Kennedy, behind him Ken Arnold, then Marty Davies, right Derek Gibson.
Lucky Us!

I was a Redcoat at Bognor Regis 1961-62-63. I am battling along OK in Oz, for an old Codger, I suppose. I am 87 now. Butlin's has always been so fresh in my mind. What a marvellous memory I have of my time with them.

Derek J D Gibson (aka: 'Vic')
