Did you know that in 1947, Laurel and Hardy spent
a whole week at Butlins Skegness?
They appeared nightly at the Butlins Theatre, doing a sketch in a Variety
Show, and
also acted as judges at some of the weekly competitions;
including:
The Holiday Lovelies; The Knobbly Knees; and the Junior Lovelies.
Full details, with photos of Laurel and Hardy,
including one with Billy Butlin himself,
can be found in the book. For details of how to purchase a signed copy, go
