The Redcoat Show tour came after the 1965 Summer
Season, and took in numerous counties in the
North, Midlands, and South Wales, visiting countless social and workmen's
clubs.
Did about 14 million miles. Lousy digs! Great fun!
Lots of laughs!

Jenny Malkinson later changed her name to 'Leslie
Rae,' and did a male impersonator act.
In 1957, whilst still a Redcoat at the Metrople Hotel, Russ Hamilton had
a No.2 record in the charts with, "We Will Make Love."
He was then moved to Clacton for the summer, as bar entertainer in the "Jolly
Roger."
After his career waned he returned to the Butlins Metropole, firstly as a
Redcoat Entertainer in 1965, then as Ents. Mngr. in 1966/7/8. During those
three years, the wake-up record played every morning at 3 minutes to 8 was
- you've guessed it: "We Will Make Love."
Johnny Mans, meanwhile, has gone from strength to strength as agent for some of the best-loved names in showbusiness - such as Norman Wisdom and Max Bygraves - and producer of many successful touring shows.

Johnny Mans is also the editor of the "ENCORE" magazine for showbusiness professionals.
Not a bad track-record for someone who started off as a Redcoat, is it?
